Immanuel Richter appointed as new professor for classical trumpet at ZHdK

The Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) has announced that Immanuel Richter will take over the professorship for classical trumpet starting in the summer of 2025. He will succeed Frits Damrow in this position.

Richter received his musical training at the Zurich Conservatory under Claude Rippas, where he graduated with distinction in all his degrees. Since 2008, he has been teaching trumpet at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Music. In addition to his teaching career, he has served as principal trumpet in renowned orchestras such as the Orchestra of Teatro alla Scala in Milan and the Basel Symphony Orchestra.
